Country Side Living is unique - in that the facility is small and has a personal atmosphere. Erik created the facility to have a family atmosphere rather than a nursing home atmosphere. For Mr. Berkey, Country Side Living is a realization of a dream that began to grow when he was young. Erik used to mow the lawn at Mrs. Quinby's house who ended up living in a local nursing home. He would visit her and other residents at the home. "I really enjoyed visiting with the people, and decided that if I could make a place that will better people's situations, then that would be worth it to me," said Berkey.

Country Side Living (CSL) is a small community serving the unique needs of elderly residents, enriching their lives by providing a family atmosphere, caring support, and interesting activities appropriate to their lifestyle. Resident's benefit from caring support staff who know each resident and are able to understand and communicate positively with each individual. Care providers are trained to contribute to a satisfying life experience for each resident, including those with special needs.
